Our classes are designed to help people of all skill levels experience movement in new and exciting ways.  Bringing together a range of modalities, our classes will give you a new found appreciation for the smallest muscle groups - ones that you didn’t know you had!

Prepare yourself for a mixture of hard work and fun! Our classes are a combination of Mat Pilates, Barre, and Suspension training all rolled into one 45 minute fitness session designed to work every part of your body.

Each session has been designed to keep you on your toes (literally!) engaged (hello core!) and ignite a love for moving your body. Say goodbye to boring workouts, because each class brings a new challenge!

Sessions at Barre & Pilates on the Cove are more than just a fitness class. Get ready to feel supported as part of a community that will have you working out and laughing at the same time. 

Dynamic sessions in a fun environment

  • Developed by Joseph Pilates - this modality works wonders for your core strength, flexibility and body awareness. By incorporating controlled movements, precise alignment, and mindful breathing, Pilates helps you build stability, improve posture, and boost your overall strength and flexibility.

  • Barre takes the fundamentals of ballet barre conditioning exercises and incorporates elements of pilates, yoga and functional, body-weight training. It engages muscles you wouldn’t normally target—ones deep inside your body that everyday movements don’t reach. With high reps and low impact movements, barre is a challenge for everyone.

  • Suspension training uses straps/suspension systems to leverage your body weight against gravity to challenge your strength, stability, and flexibility. It provides a greater challenge for a wide range of exercises targeting multiple muscle groups simultaneously. It’s a great option to help you develop functional strength and improve overall fitness.

  • Tracey provides dedicated class times specifically designed for Men to reap the benefits of Pilates. With a focus on increasing strength, flexibility and mobility - men of all ages are encouraged to join either the mixed 6am Wednesday class, or the Mens 6am Friday class.

From her home studio in the heart of Coastlands, Whakatane - Tracey Perry has created an environment where people WANT to come and work out. 

As a trained Mat Pilates & Barre Instructor,  Tracey has taken her practice to new heights with the incorporation of dedicated Suspension training. She also has a passion for helping women post-natally, supporting their fitness journey and specialising in pelvic floor health.

Private Lessons - 30 mins - $35

Introduction to pilates - 3 x one-one sessions for $150

Classes - $15 per session (booked and paid for each term)

Casual rate - $20 per session

With 13 classes each week, there is something to suit everyone. Registrations open a few weeks before the Term starts and spots fill very quickly. Enquire to find a suitable timeslot that works with your schedule.

Introduction to Pilates

Private one-one (or small group) sessions are the perfect starting point for your Pilates journey.

Over the course of 3 x private sessions, Tracey will introduce the various modalities as taught in her class environment. These sessions provide an opportunity to learn the basic skills and movements required before moving on to joining a class.

Private Lessons

Private one-one sessions are designed for people with specific goals.

Working one-on-one with Tracey in a private setting, she will design each session to help you achieve these goals at a pace that is suited specifically for you.

Private lessons can be arranged on an ongoing basis.
